An all-rounder that combines the three Cs for expert watchmaking: Chronograph, Chronometer and Cleverness. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its wrist-watches, Wempe presents the 100th limited edition time-master Diver Sport Chronograph Diver for bold aquanauts and style-conscious urbanists. The automatic diver chronograph with draft complements the successful sports line with a casual black look and offers additional equipment including safety factors.
Clever functions and refined design
Marked black 45 millimeters, created for aquaauts and style-conscious people, who dive up to 300 meters, stopping the times or reading the date. If you do not want to be multitasking under water, the Zeitmeister Sport Ducher Chronograph DLC also finds you on land, around the clock, its use. Anti-reflective sapphire glass and Super-LumiNova® on all hands, the trapeze index and the zero marking point provide clear-cut contrasts so that the watch can be used in all light conditions. An additional function is the scratch-resistant ceramic bezel as a handy and one-sided rotating dive ring, the zero marking point of which is even filled with luminous material.
The versatile usability is also evident when looking at the matt black dial. The totalizers stand out with a sunburst, the hour counter at 6 o'clock and the 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock. In order to be able to read exactly the stop second, it is stored centrally, provided with an additional luminous triangle and refers to a secondary scale. As useful extras, the date is displayed at 3 o'clock and the small second at 9 o'clock. This clear division not only ensures precise readability, but also gives the watch a harmonious overall appearance.
The chronograph is controlled by two push buttons which lie directly next to the flank protection for the crown. It is bolted to the bottom of the housing to guarantee the water tightness of 30 bar and to meet the criteria of the diving clock standard DIN 8306. The DLC-coated stainless steel bracelet, consisting of matted and brushed limbs, is also about safety: the folding clasp is equipped with a safety strap and has an extension element for comfort.
The caliber
In the sporty watch, a proven Swiss chronograph caliber with automatic winding is used, which offers a running performance of 48 hours nonstop with 28,800 half-oscillations per hour (4 Hz). In order to satisfy the Wempe requirements, it is installed in production in the Glashütte in Saxony and optimized with a stop second and an eccentric fine adjustment. This is so precise that the strict German Chronometer test with its average gait deviation of only two seconds per day was inserted in the case. This clever combination of chronograph functions and Chronometer certification makes the Zeitmeister Sport Ducher Chronograph DLC one of the most reliable diving watches.
